This is the perfect place to go if you love to relax on beaches, get a tan and just have a holiday with no worries. Here is what I suggest you do while you visit Ksamil, Albania. Besides visiting the beaches there.
Butrint National Park
In 1992 Butrint National park joined the UNESCO´s World heritage site. It has history going back to the 8th century BC. Not only is this a dream for nature lovers, but also archeologists.
It is not far from Ksamil, but you will need to go by car or a tour. I booked myself a taxi and the taxi driver even joined me in the park, so I ended up with a personal photographer. Though I am sure he told the entrance lady he was the one who suggested I come here so he could enter for free.

Beach day
Near Rilinda beach, I had previously seen a spot with netting and large sunbeds with a canopy above them for privacy. I spent most of the day here just relaxing or laying on the netting. Many people might not find this suitable when you are alone, but just bring a book and soak up in the sun. It is relaxing and definitly fun to people watch while doing so.
Day Trips
Sarande
Sarande is most likely where you will arrive by bus before traveling to Ksamil, but it is well worth the day trip.
While there, head up to Lekursi Castle and enjoy the view. Both daytime and sunset are beautiful times to visit the castle. During the summer it will be held events there during the evening and a restaurant is also open for you to grab a bite and enjoy the beautiful view.
Corfu
A short boat ride from Sarande and you have Corfu, Greece. This is also where your nearest airport to Ksamil is.
Take the high-speed catamaran for 40 minutes before you are walking on the streets of Greece and enjoying some Greek cuisine. There is plenty to do and see in the city or you can venture further out to Denilla Village.
